On Tuesday, November 13th, the Jack Kemp Foundation honored entrepreneur and philanthropist Sean Parker with the 2018 Kemp Leadership Award for his work on the creation of Opportunity Zones.
The evening began with the singing of the National Anthem by Mr. D.C. Washington. Rabbi Levi Shemtov offered an invocation and Kay Coles James, President of The Heritage Foundation and friend of Jack Kemp, posthumously presented Heritage’s highest honor, the Clare Boothe Luce Award, to Jack Kemp.
Senator Ben Sasse discussed the future of the American Idea in his keynote address and the evening concluded with a conversation on economic empowerment and Opportunity Zones between Sean Parker, Senator Tim Scott and Ivanka Trump.
