Ike Brannon joins the Jack Kemp Foundation

WASHINGTON, DC – The Jack Kemp Foundation announced today that Ike Brannon will be joining it as a senior fellow. Brannon is currently president of Capital Policy Analytics, a consulting firm in Washington DC as well as the co-head of the Prosperity Caucus, a prominent monthly meeting of economists, staffers and other policy professionals that began more than 30 years ago as an offshoot of Jack Kemp’s 1988 presidential campaign.

“I feel privileged to be joining Jimmy and the Foundation and I hope I can help it to continue doing the important work it has accomplished already,” Brannon said. His research for the Kemp Foundation will focus on economic growth, income, urban development and housing.

Brannon was previously a Senior nonresident fellow at the Cato Institute, and before that had spent a decade in government, working for the Joint Economic Committee, Senate Finance Committee, the Republican Policy Committee, and the House Energy and Commerce Committee, as well as the Office of Management and Budget and the U.S. Treasury. He was also senior economist for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.

“Ike’s research agenda has closely aligned with our own goals and we are thrilled to have him aboard,” said Kemp Foundation president Jimmy Kemp. “With Ike’s help we hope to have a greater impact both within Congress as well as out in the rest of America.”

Brannon was born and raised in Mossville, Illinois, and graduated from Augustana College and Indiana University.
